I live in Denver Colorado and I was wondering if you could get a permit at 15 if you didn't take drivers ed class's?|||In Colorado, you must have finished the (30 hour) Classroom Portion of a formal Driver Training program to get your permit at age 15. If you wait until you are 15 1/2, you can get a permit after completing a shorter Driver Awareness class. If you take no formal training at all, you must wait until you are 16 to get a Permit.
In all circumstances, you also must take and pass the written permit test. There are 25 questions on the test, you cannot miss more than 5 and pass. You must take drivers ed if you want to get your permit. They want to educate teens if they drive earlier than 18.
So i took drivers ed online also. I live in California so i looked at the options to see if they had one for north carolina and they did ^_^. In this course you take it as many times as you want until you pass, which im pretty sure you will because its pretty easy.

It took me awhile to find the cheapest one, but i finally did it. At first i was wondering if they were legit or not, but my friend completed it and he got his certificates in the mail so i did it.
The course is pretty easy. I think its 16 different chapters with lots of pictures and videos. And at the end there is a final exam that you must get 32/36 correct to pass. You can take as long as you want and take it as many times as you want until you pass.
It took me about 3-4 hours to complete the course. It was a rainy day so i had nothing to do :(. Its mostly common sense, for example if you see a pedistrian what do you do (Stop duh!).

I did so much research to get my permit =_=, but i was able to get my license when i was 17 :)

Do i need to take drivers ed to get an intermediate license in oklahoma if im over 17?
I am 17 yrs 9 months, it is urgent that I get a license, even if it's just intermediate. I can not afford drivers-ed at this time. I have had my permit for over a year now, and have had no traffic violations or accidents.|||Hello Nena,

Add location, or accept the generic answer of: Contact the agency that issued the learners permit, and ask.|||i'm pretty sure it changes by state, but in the state i live in, no. you have to get a permit to do this...maybe it'll be better to wait until you're 18, at that point you wouldn't need to get a permit

The state of Texas requires that you take an approved course - even if you are doing parent-taught and mine was approved. Check it out and good luck!

Would it be too late to sign up for it?|||Yes you do need to take drivers ed. You can either take it at a school or do it online. and you should start now so you can get your license faster. I recommend doing it online because it is much easier and faster and cheaper and you do it on your own free time and you save so much more money. How will an insurance company in canada know if iv completed drivers ed ?
When applying for auto insurance people who completed drivers ed receive a discount. Am i supposed to have some documents to show the insurance company or is it on governments records that i have completed drivers ed and will the insurance company look that up?|||The driving school will supply you with a certificate after you sucessfully complete the driving classes and you show that to the insurance company.
