Can I get my full license in New York without taking drivers ed?

So I have my restricted license in New York (I can drive between 5AM and 9PM) but I want my full license without taking drivers ed. Is there a way to get my full license before I turn eighteen without taking drivers ed in New York?|||I live in Pennsylvania. Here you will get you're full license at 17 and a half as long as you have had no tickets or other traffic violations. I think it's the same for New York.
