How can i get rid of the fear of being behind the wheel in drivers Ed?

when ever i get behind the wheel in drivers ed i get really nervous . how can i get rid of that fear?|||The nervous feeling is normal. It comes from inexperience, just not being sure of what your doing. Time and repetition will make it allot easier and the feeling will pass.

It's all in your head thats causing the fear. For a moment do this excercise... just sit there... picture in your mind a board 4" thick, a foot wide, and 50 feet long, and its laying on the ground in front of you.... Can you walk the length of that board?. Okay now picture the same board... in your mind... but this time it is suspended between 2 buildings 300 feet above ground.... now can you walk the length? Not as easy is it? Why? Its the same difference, except this time a bit higher up. Now what if the building your on is on fire and your only escape is across the board?

See the point is it is how you control your mind to face the perceived dangers.

Your driving will inprove over time, experience is my friend the best of all teachers. Just once you get the hang of it don't get into the thought you can control it beyond your abilities, SPEED does kill, Recklessness does kill. Be safe and smart behind the wheel.|||you just get behind the wheel, just do it.

you get really nervous because its something really new and its a big responsibiliy. you are responsible for everyone in the car and others on the road.

after a while, the nervousness goes away. never hide from your fear|||Just practice and practice.|||Perfectly normal. Take deep breaths.
