Can I get my permit without having the drivers ed completed?

Im ready to take my test and everything but i haven't taken the Drivers Ed. Do I need to wait for that or can I take it now, get my permit, and wait until i complete my classes to get my license?|||Depends on your age and state laws, but most likely you have to take driver's ed before you can do anything with the DMV|||no you have to do the class
