Can you take drivers training only instead of drivers ed and still get your license when your 16?

I know that in drivers ed, you learn about the law, rules of the road, signals, etc.

and I studied those in my manual already and took the knowledge test today

and if i take drivers ed, aren't I going to learn the same thing i learned in the manual?

so all i need to know is how to drive

what do you think?|||You can't just get in a car and start driving. Even if you knew how to operate the vehicle, there are rules and regulations that are imperative to earning your drivers license. You must learn these rules in order to safely navigate your vehicle.

Drivers education will help you become a defensive driver, be aware of your surroundings, and be able to drive safely within them.

ALL STATES: You are REQUIRED to pass the driver's education school, and recieve the certification and must PASS the course in order to be eligable for the driver's license process.|||it depends on state law. in Texas you can (at your own expense) take a drivers ed course (not affiliated with the school) and get your license. in a hardship situation (you need a license to drive a disabled relative) you can do it privately (no formal classes) without even taking a driving test (my granddaughter did this)

check with your school.|||you need drivers ed to get your certificate for the dmv,

so if you know everything just sign up for a class online and read quickly through the chapters so they send your certificate.

its quick and inexpensive
