I'm trying to go through drivers ed so that I can start driving and get a job and such, but after I get my permit, do I have to take a defensive driving course to get my license?|||No.
It seems that you just need an approved driver's ed course.
"As of March 1, 2010, anyone age 18 through 24 must complete an approved driver education course and a driving skills test to become a licensed driver in Texas."
