Drivers Ed?

Do you have to go to drivers ed if your under 18 and you want a drivers permit? If not whats the point of drivers ed if you can just study %26amp; take the test?|||Many states require that first-time drivers complete a certain number of hours in a driver's education course before they can apply for a permit or driver's license. Find out what your state requires, and get one step closer to getting behind the wheel.

At other times, your state will mandate attendence in a driver education course when your driving record indicates that you could use a refresher course on some of the road rules.

And, still other drivers opt to attend driver education classes so they can qualify for lowered car insurance rates.|||Im sure it depends on state|||When I took Driver's Ed they taught us how to control the car.|||in some driver ed school they let you take the permit test with them and give you behind the wheel lesson out in the regular roads. it is not required buy law where i live but wheather it is required by law or not it is a good idea to go there for insurance discounts and for safety reasons. i went there and learned a lot that most drivers my age do not know. i have lower insurance premiums. also most of them have dual controlled cars so if you make a mistake the instructor has a another wheel to grab on his side to regain control of the car.|||I know that in most (maybe all) states you have to pass Driver's Ed, so that they know that you can drive. After all, we don't want people that know what color a stop sign is, but don't know which peddle is gas and which is brake driving around. It's not hard at all, mainly it's just time consuming.
